Well known as the ‘Land of Tigers’ Tadoba Andhari
Tiger Reserve is one of the finest Tiger Reserves in India. The word 'Tadoba'
has been derived from the name of the local deity "Tadoba" or
"Taru," who was said to be killed by a tiger while "Andhari"
is derived from the name of the Andhari river that flows through the reserve.
If it is the tiger that you are after, then Tadoba
might just be your best bet! Located in the wildlife-rich region of central
India, this bamboo-dominated forest is the perfect abode for the world's
largest big cat. The reserve provides a safe habitat to a varied flora and
fauna and is also seen as a ‘maternity ward’ for tigers – which then disperse
to the surrounding Sanctuaries and Tiger Reserves.
Prominent tree species found here include Ain,
Arjun, Bhera, Mahua, Salai, Tendu etc. Majority of the reserve harbours bamboo,
a keystone species which plays an important role in the life cycle of Tadoba.
In absence of extensive meadows, bamboo forms an important food source for the
herbivores in the forest and the perfect ambush point for the larger
carnivores.
The reserve harbours a rich diversity of fauna
comprising a total of 62 species of mammals, over 250 species of birds, 174
species of butterflies and 34 species of reptiles. Apart from the majestic
Royal Bengal Tiger, the forest is also home to several other species such as
Leopard, Dhole, Gaur, Sambar, Chital, Chausingha, Sloth Bear etc.
Itinerary
Day 1
Campers are requested to check in at the resort at Tadoba by 12
noon. Post check-in we will enjoy a scrumptious lunch that would be arranged
for us. Post lunch we will leave for our first safari at Tadoba Andhari Tiger
Reserve. During the safari we will explore various areas of the reserve in
search of the majestic Royal Bengal Tigers. After an exciting safari in the
forest, we will get back to the resort. Time to freshen up and spend your eve
at leisure before our mentors give a brief orientation about the forest. Later
enjoy a hearty meal before hitting the bed. Overnight at the resort. Overnight

Day 2
Today we will enjoy morning and evening safaris in the fabled
land of tigers. Wake-up call early in the morning post which we will leave for
the morning safari at the crack of dawn. Our search for the master predator
begins. We will enjoy a picnic breakfast in the forest. Apart from the Tigers
keep a lookout on species like Leopards, Wild Dogs, Jungle Cats, Jackals, Sloth
Bears, Wild Boars, Spotted Deer, Sambar and much more. Tadoba has a lot to
offer for birding enthusiasts as well so keep a lookout on the various avian
wonders that can be seen here.
After a scintillating safari experience, we get back to our
resort and freshen up. After some rest we will dig into a delectable meal arranged
for us before leaving for another safari. We will explore the enchanting trails
of the forests with some of the best drivers and guides as we track the big
cats in Tadoba. Post an exciting safari we will get back to the resort and
spend the eve at leisure where we discuss the day’s sightings followed by
dinner. Overnight at the resort.

Day 3
Today we will wake up at the crack of dawn and leave for our
last safari in the bewitching forests of Tadoba. This would be our last chance
for searching the Tigers and other wildlife that is found here. Later we will
enjoy our picnic breakfast in the reserve before heading out for the resort. On
arrival at the resort, we will pack up and check-out. Later we proceed for our
respective journeys back home.

Booking Procedure
A 80 % booking amount is to be paid at the time of registration.
Balance payments shall be paid at least 30 days prior to the tour departure
date. Registrants are advised to furnish a copy of a recognized Government
Identity Card - Aadhar, Pan, Driver's License, Passport, Voter's ID at the time
of registration. For foreign nationals it is mandatory to share a copy of a
valid passport at the time of registration.
